American literature (United States Literature) is a course that takes students through a journey in the literary tradition and history of the United States of America, from the Native American literary work to Modern literary works such as novels and poetry. Studying, reading, and analyzing the oral tradition to the most important and influential writers and their work after the conquest of the United States (William Bradford, Thomas Paine, Thomas Jefferson), Post independence (Washington Irving, Charles Brockden Brown), New England Raise, (Ralph W. Emerson, Henry D. Thoreau, Herman Melville, Emily Dickinson) Post-War period (William Dean Howells, Walt Whitman, Mark Twain and Emily Dickinson) Realism (Stephen Crane, Theodore Dreiser, Jack London, William, Edith Wharton) Modern Period (F. Scott Fitzgerald, John Steinbeck, Ernest Hemingway and Willa Cather) Beat Generation (Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, William S. Burroughs, Henry Miller), and the contemporary writers such as Ralph Ellison among others.

The Idi 60 Morphology and Syntax of the English Language course studies the morphological and syntactical system of the English Language focusing on the analyses of the morphemes, allomorphs along with their components such as roots, stems, lexemes, lemmas, and affixes, identifying as well the origins, functions, inflections and derivations of the process of word formation as to the complex syntactical features of the English sentence and its structural elements.

Conversation I aims to perfect the students' speaking ability, emphasizing the development of accuracy in English language production and the acquisition of advanced communication skills. Exercises and activities on pronunciation, intonation, and vocabulary are fundamental to interactive activities among the students.
It is expected that students to promote equity, fairness, and respect among all members of the college community. Development of communication skills and strategies. Wide knowledge of specific vocabulary that allows him/her to develop and deliver public speeches, lectures, and all types of conversation activities in English according to professional standards. And the implementation of reading, writing, listening, and speaking techniques in his/her learning process, applying technical language in daily life situations.
