This course is an introduction to the general concepts of literature and literary analysis, it provides an overview of the three main literary genres and terms related to each one, for the student to be familiar with them previous to practicing the analysis of literature written in the English language.

It will also provide an introduction to different text analysis and aspects of literary criticism taking texts written by famous United States and British authors throughout time.
